Assistant Director, Global Travel

Carolina Manson (she/her) joined Duke University’s Division of Experiential Education as Assistant Director in the Office of Global Travel in 2025. In this role, she supports Duke’s global mission by advising and assisting students, faculty, and staff with outbound visa applications, travel documentation, and international travel compliance. Carolina manages visa tracking systems and Duke’s travel registry, ensuring data accuracy, policy alignment, and traveler support across the university.

Before joining the Global Travel team, Carolina served as Program Coordinator for English for International Students at the Duke Graduate School, where she oversaw placement testing, budget tracking, administrative operations, data reporting, and cross-campus collaboration. She brings more than 20 years of professional experience in higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, and corporate environments, with expertise in international travel coordination, bilingual communications, and event logistics.

Born in Illinois and raised in Argentina, she moved to Durham in 2003 with her husband and children. She enjoys cooking, traveling, music, and spending time with her family and their dog.
